Businessman and textile engineer, he has devoted his whole life to the building of textile factories. After his only son Axel Blumberg's kidnapping and murder on March 23 2004, together with friends and parents, he began the ìAxel Blumberg Crusade for our children's lives". Mr Blumberg's petition was signed by 5,450,000 signatures from the whole country. On April 1, 2004 in front of the Plaza de los dos Congresos in Buenos Aires, Mr. Blumberg gathered 350,000 people with a candle in their hands representing life. It was the most important demonstration organized in many years (from that moment on, other 3 demonstrations or ìmarchesî were organized in Buenos Aires, and two in the provinces of Córdoba and Chaco) all in pursuit of security and justice for the people. Juan Carlos has become a social leader both in Argentina and South America.
